Motions and Folds Blog Hop

Welcome to the Motions and Folds Blog Hop!  First of all I would like to thank Ellen at Cardmonkey- Business for inviting me to be a blog stop!  If you just happened to hop on to my blog and want to start at the beginning~ hop here.  This blog hop is all about cards that have a different fold or motion.  I just learned how to make the tri-fold shutter card and wanted to share this today. 

~Sweet Tri-Fold Shutter Card~

Here is the front of the sweet shutter card!  The cupcake is from Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge. Sentiment is from Pink By Design.  They have my favorite sentiments!  

Here it opened!  I love how it turned out.  I used pastel dot paper and sweet paper from DCVW Sweet Stack.  Chocolate cake is from Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge also! Michelle from Scrappin with My Bug has made an awesome video on how to make a tri-fold shutter card.  If you are interested in learning how to make one her video is the best to watch.  I love feedback so please leave me comments and come back to see more! :)

I am on vacation this week and have been trying to get as much crafting in as I can. I have been seeing so many adorable shutter cards I just had to try it. I recently got my Kate's ABC's cricut cartridge that I have been wanting really bad, I decided to use them together. I can't wait to make another one of these cards! I loved the idea of a Friendship card and was thinking of all my friends that I want to send one to.   I had so many ideas in my mind I couldn't keep up.  I decided to make one that went along with a new stamp set I bought from Pink By Design. I love teddy bears so I thought this would be cute! 

 

The Teddy Bear is from the Christmas Cricut Cartridge.  I added the white stitching.  Its hard to tell in the picture but the bear is popped up.  Friends Make Life Bear-able is from the Woodland Critters Pink By Design stamp set!  I distressed the edge of the card with Chocolate Chip from Stampin Up and added a pink bow.  I thought this was a simple card that any friend would love to receive!  I love comments and new followers!

My hubby and I have been together for nearly 12 years and have never done much for Valentine's Day so I had a hard time coming up with a Valentine Project. I really wanted to use my Cinch so I decided on a Mini Album that I will get to fill in now :)  Here is my project:

Here is the front cover! Its a 6 by 6 inch album!  I used a red wire for the binding and added ribbon.  Happy Valentine's Day is from Celebrate With Flourish. 

The tags, hearts and scalloped rectangles are from Sugar and Spice, School Plantin, George and the Basic Shapes and Create a Critter.  Its a simple album but I had a ton of fun making it!
