~Smash Book~

Hello!!  I have been hearing about Smash Books on several blogs but haven't seen them in the stores where I am yet so I decided to make my own! I love notebooks and have them for everything! Bobbi Jo SweetSassyDiva was really nice to send me a youtube video explaining what a smash book was! I fell in love!! I always check the adorable notebooks in the dollar bins at Michaels and Joanns and found a really cute hot pink and white striped notebook. It has a little green turtle and a postmark on the lower corner. I knew that I could turn it into a smash book! Here is how I did it:
Here is the notebook from Michaels!
I added the red double sided tape for some rick rack.
I added some green rick rack!
placed my cuts on my E2 from the Life is a Beach Cartridge
Placed my paper accordingly!
Here are my cuts ready to assemble!
Here is my Smash Notebook ready to fill! :)
I added some white faux stitching with my new gel pen!
Now that my Smash Book is done I can fill it with all my treasures! I hope you like it! I know I sure did!

If you came from Kristin you are in the right spot! :) I love the beach and couldn't make up my mind on what I was going to make so I decided to make a couple of beachy easel cards!

Here is my first card:

I used the Cricut Life is a Beach Cartridge for the adorable flip flops and the DCWV Tahiti Beach Stack for the cute paper! You're the flip to my flop stamp is from Pink By Design!

Here is my other card~

I loved this paper combo by DCWV Tahiti Beach Stack. I stamped Surfer Anya and colored her in with my Copic Markers. I added some glitter to her swim top, bracelet, and flower in her hair. I cut her out using my spellbinders and mounted it on some matching blue patterned paper! Happy Summer is from the Pink By Design Summer Vacation stamp set.

Tea Appreciation Banner

Hi there! Our challenge this week from SweetSassyDiva is to create a project using a Cricut Cartridge that starts with the first letter of our first name! I was super excited because I immediately thought about Kate's ABC's!!! I love this cartridge! Its just too cute! I decided to make a Tea Appreciation Banner for all the parent volunteers at our school saying Thank you! Forgive my pictures... I took them on my whiteboard in the classroom.

Here it is:
The letters were cut at 5 inches.
The tea cup was cut from Kate's ABC's.
Teapot is from Kate's ABC's
Completed Banner!

The pink scalloped rectangle is from the Sugar and Spice Cricut Lite cartridge. The patterned paper is from an English Cottage Stack and worked perfectly. It was also cut out from Sugar and Spice. The letters, tea cups, and tea pot are all cut from Kate's ABC's! I hope you enjoy this. I had a lot of fun making this.

Happy Father's Day!

Hi there!  We are making fathers day projects this week for SweetSassyDiva and I immediately thought of a card to make for my Dad. He has a 1969 Yellow Boss 360 and LOVES it! I saw the fathers day cricut cartridge and had to get it! It loved so many of the images on it! Here is a card that I chose to make for My Dad:

I started out by cutting the car at 3inches on my Cricut. First you layer the black on the yellow. I didn't like having the holes  for the wheels, grill, lights, and windows so I layered it on top if white paper. After it was all layered and glued down I cut it out and backed it with some pop dots!  Now that the car is made I needed to figure out how I was going to make the card. I decided on cutting a yellow A2 card and mounted a fun patterned paper on it. The patterned paper reminded me of an older road with stones. I chose to add a layer of black and use my Martha Stewart loop punch for a fun look.  I added the sentiment from Pink By Design Our Fathers Set and some yellow pearls. To finish off the card I added some black stitching around the edge of the card. I hope you like it!

I am going to be posting more father's day cards this week on my blog and facebook page if you would like to come over and say Hi!

Don't forget to check back on the SweetSassyDiva blog for more inspiration this week! There are some cute projects lined up!

I Feel the Love Project

Hi there! I decided to make a card today for Madison's I feel the love project! She is collecting cards for Ms. Pentoney who is an English teacher in her hometown that is battling cancer. I loved the idea of Madison's project of making homemade cards for people. Who doesn't love to receive fun mail? I know I sure do!

I chose to make a card using Angel Anya from The Greeting Farm. Here is my card:

I chose Angel Anya because she is too cute and I like the way she is praying. I am praying that Ms. Pentoney is able to stay strong and fight this second round of cancer.

Card Recipe:
Light blue cardstock cut A2 size
Silver/ gray pattern paper from The Lemon Flower Stack by DCWV
aqua Diving Twine
blue/ light blue mulberry paper flowers
blue/ light blue faux rhinestones
white gel pen

I hope you like the card and can find some time to make a card too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Memorial Day Card

I hope that everyone is had a great weekend and was able to spend time with their loved ones. My mom lives out of state and was able to come and visit me for the holiday weekend. We visited my favorite scrapbook stores and shopped all morning. I found some fun paper and made a card that honors those that are serving our country now and the memories of those that have served.

Here is my card:

I cut a piece of red card stock to the A2 size and added a blue patterned paper from a Sizzix stack. I cut a 1.5 inch strip of white cardstock and used a Martha Stewart border punch to add some texture. The flag is from the Cricut Independence Day cartridge. It is cut at 3.71 by 2.18 inches. It went together pretty quick! The chalked the edge of the tag with the sentiment. Everytime I see the flag I think of you is from Pink By Design’s Our Troops set! I added a white button with some Airmail twine! I hope you enjoyed the card!

I also made a red, white, and blue bouquet using my Cricut!

Here is a close up of my flower. I used blue paper with stars cut at 3 inches and added a 2.5 inch red flower and layered it. I then added a white button with some fun Airmail twine!

Here is my full bouquet! I hope you enjoy it as much as I had fun making it!

Come check me out on my facebook page too! I love to read your comments!
