Hi there!!! Happy Birthday to my adorable nephew Martin!! He was born on the 4th of July!! How awesome is that?!?! He loves that "America" celebrates the same day as him! He also LOVES fireworks and his Mom and Dad put on a HUGE firework show each year! One year I will be able to make it to a show and see all the amazing fireworks!  I asked him what theme he was having for his birthday this year and he wants to keep it patriotic with red, white, and blue. I made him a banner and an adorable card!

Jaded Blossom Sneak Peek Day 2

Hi there! Welcome back to Day 2 of Jaded Blossoms Sneak Peek Week! If you missed yesterdays post just scroll down for a cute treat! Today two more stamp sets are being showcased! They are called Birthday Kisses and Sport Kisses!

I decided to use the Sport Kisses and create a Star themed bag! I am thinking about making these for my incoming Kindergartners for their orientation! Students would love to get a little treat like this!

Just a cute close up of my tag!

Treat bag!

I simply stamped the sayings and stars onto coordinating yellow cardstock and then punched them out using my Stampin Up 3/4" punch! It works perfectly and dressed up the candy so much!

Don't forget to check out more Birthday and Sport Kisses Inspiration from my Design Team sisters!

Check back tomorrow for Day 3!

Remembering 9/11

Hello! This week for SweetSassyDiva we are honoring the HEROES of 9/11. That day has changed our country and will always be remembered. I remember exactly where I was the day I saw the Twin Towers on TV. It was a sad day for so many. I have many family members that have served or are currently serving in various branches of the military and I choose to support them all. I am very patriotic and thought that I would love to make a patriotic wreath! I was inspired by Pink Cricut's Halloween wreath. Click here if you would like to see it (She has an awesome video tutorial on it!)

Here is my wreath:

I cut my paper into various strips and scored them on my score board every .5 inches.  I used these to make the rosettes. Be careful of HOT glue!! It can make for very sore fingers.
I hot glued my rosettes to my cardboard circle. I have them layered for more dimension!
I added stars from the George and Basic Shapes Cartridge cut in various sizes.
I added red and blue buttons on the stars. Some of the buttons have the airmail twine in them.

I love how my wreath turned out and can't wait to make another one! Make sure you come back and check out more of the SweetSassyDiva Designers this week for more inspiration!

Stars for the 4th!!

Hi there! I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend! This week we had the challenge of making a card for the 4th of July using only Stars and no stripes! I loved this idea! I made my card with my friend Katie during our Monthly Scrap nights! We had a lot of fun making it!

Here it is:

I used George and the Basic shapes to cut out the red and blue stars! The blue stars are cut at 2.02 inches and the red stars are cut at 1.94 inches. We added a Peachy Keen Princess face stamp and white stitching around the edges. The stars are popped up on the firework pattern paper punched with a Martha Stewart Border punch. The firework paper is layered on a red piece of cardstock on a blue piece of cardstock! I added white stitching around the blue edge to match the stars. The sentiment is from Pink By Design!
