Happy Birthday

This week there are several birthdays for our family and friends! I can't believe how fast this year is already going by. I didn't realize it was already time to get them in the mail so I made a couple quick cards last night!
Here they are!

sorry about the lighting on this one.... It is on a red base! Paper is from Hobby Lobby's Birthday Extravaganza mat stack!

Birthday card using DCWV All About Boys stack and the Fathers Day Cricut Cart!

close up! Sentiments are from Pink By Design :)
Both cards are A2 size and have the white faux stitching on them! I just love adding that to everything now! Don't forget to leave me a comment! I love feedback!!

Happy Birthday Darrell

Happy Birthday Darrell

Today is my hubby's Birthday! I think I get more excited about birthdays than he does at times! I had to make him a banner with his favorite color blue and a card that has two of his favorite things! ;)

Here is the banner!

I used the Cricut Birthday Bash Cartridge for the card shape and letters! I used DCWV Dots and Plaids stack for the patterned paper!

Here is his birthday card! He absolutely loves guns and lingerie!! What guy doesn't!?!?! ;) I decided to combine the two together for his card!

Happy Birthday Darrell! You are an amazing husband and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Father's Day!

Hi there!  We are making fathers day projects this week for SweetSassyDiva and I immediately thought of a card to make for my Dad. He has a 1969 Yellow Boss 360 and LOVES it! I saw the fathers day cricut cartridge and had to get it! It loved so many of the images on it! Here is a card that I chose to make for My Dad:

I started out by cutting the car at 3inches on my Cricut. First you layer the black on the yellow. I didn't like having the holes  for the wheels, grill, lights, and windows so I layered it on top if white paper. After it was all layered and glued down I cut it out and backed it with some pop dots!  Now that the car is made I needed to figure out how I was going to make the card. I decided on cutting a yellow A2 card and mounted a fun patterned paper on it. The patterned paper reminded me of an older road with stones. I chose to add a layer of black and use my Martha Stewart loop punch for a fun look.  I added the sentiment from Pink By Design Our Fathers Set and some yellow pearls. To finish off the card I added some black stitching around the edge of the card. I hope you like it!

I am going to be posting more father's day cards this week on my blog and facebook page if you would like to come over and say Hi!

Don't forget to check back on the SweetSassyDiva blog for more inspiration this week! There are some cute projects lined up!

Etched Father's Day Gift

Hi Everyone! I have been having a lot of fun trying all sorts of fun new crafty techniques. Today I cut vinyl for the very first time and also etched glass! Amazing and I am in love! I love how easy it was to do! I decided to etch a glass mug for both my Dad and Father in Law! They will LOVE them!!

Here is my first attempt:
I used the Father's Day Cricut cartridge for the image! I watched a video on how to cut vinyl and etch glass from Scrappin With My Bug. I hope you like it!

Dont forget to leave a comment! I love to read your feedback.
