Birthday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Birthday Blog Hop! If you have just hopped on the tour, please go to the first stop at Samantha's Cricut Creations www.samanthascricutcreations.blogspot.com If you just came from Momo you are in the right spot!

I decided to make a cute little treat bag that can be filled with little treasures or candy and a gift card! I learned how to make this cute little bag on the last Pink By Design Ustream! They are very simple and do not require any cutting!

Here it is!

The adorable cake is from Simply Charmed! I pop dotted it on the bag. I added two white eyelets to dress the ribbon hole up.

Happy Birthday Darrell

Happy Birthday Darrell

Today is my hubby's Birthday! I think I get more excited about birthdays than he does at times! I had to make him a banner with his favorite color blue and a card that has two of his favorite things! ;)

Here is the banner!

I used the Cricut Birthday Bash Cartridge for the card shape and letters! I used DCWV Dots and Plaids stack for the patterned paper!

Here is his birthday card! He absolutely loves guns and lingerie!! What guy doesn't!?!?! ;) I decided to combine the two together for his card!

Happy Birthday Darrell! You are an amazing husband and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Circus Mini Album

Hi there!  We had a Mix it up challenge over at SweetSassyDiva to come up with our own theme in our group! Our group chose Circus! I have been loving mini albums and found some really cute paper so I decided to make a Circus mini album for when Hubby and I go! I ran right out and found the Cricut Carousel Lite Cartridge and some Circus patterned paper from my local scrapbook store!
Here is the patterned paper I used to create the mini album!

I mounted most of the patterned embellishments on solid blue or green textured DCWV cardstock. I added white faux stitching for extra texture on the page. After making the album I think I will fill it with pictures after we go to our State Fair! I hope you like the album!

Scraps Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to the Scraps Blog Hop Day 2.   Thank you Jennifer for inviting me to be in this hop with you and the other creative  ladies! If you came from the A-M-A-Z-I-N-G Jenny at Crazy About Cricut you're in the right place. If you just happened upon my blog and would like to play along, start at the beginning at www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com

The purpose of this hop is to help you use up some of your scraps. I'm sure you've got your fair share - I know I do! You'll see 30 talented crafters coming up with unique ways to use their scraps. Some may share tips on how they store their scraps as well!
Be sure to visit all the blogs & leave comments, as there will be a grand prize, a $50 credit to the Designs on Cloud 9 store, http://www.designsoncloud9.com/  sponsored by Michelle of Designs on Cloud 9. To win the grand prize, you must comment on and become a follower of all the blogs
I recently started storing my scraps by color in their own drawer. I bought 3 of the white Jetmaxx cubes from Michael's that have the three drawers and have designated each drawer a color. I put all my scraps of that color scheme into that drawer. I also have a drawer for chipboard and patterned paper!
I decided to make some cute cards that I can add to a gift or give as a thank you. They are small square cards that all came from scrap!

I have a ton more scraps to use and will probably make a bunch more cards like this! I think they would be great to add to a candy bar or place with some flowers when giving to someone!

Stars for the 4th!!

Hi there! I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend! This week we had the challenge of making a card for the 4th of July using only Stars and no stripes! I loved this idea! I made my card with my friend Katie during our Monthly Scrap nights! We had a lot of fun making it!

Here it is:

I used George and the Basic shapes to cut out the red and blue stars! The blue stars are cut at 2.02 inches and the red stars are cut at 1.94 inches. We added a Peachy Keen Princess face stamp and white stitching around the edges. The stars are popped up on the firework pattern paper punched with a Martha Stewart Border punch. The firework paper is layered on a red piece of cardstock on a blue piece of cardstock! I added white stitching around the blue edge to match the stars. The sentiment is from Pink By Design!

Be sure to check back for more 4th of July inspiration on the Sweet Sassy Diva Blog as well as my facebook fan page!
